The
center operates with state of the art and highly automated
computerized machines run by well- trained certified technicians
under the supervision of specialized doctors.
The
Services provided at the center in addition to Normal X-ray
and Fluoroscopy are:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): a technique that uses
radio signals & magnetism to examine the body parts.
- Spiral CT- Scan: uses X-ray to study specific planes or
cross-sections of the body from different angles within few
minutes.
- Ultrasound: a technique that enables physicians to see internal
tissues by means of sound waves & their echoes.
- Color Doppler Ultrasound: a technique that uses sound waves
for diagnosing vascular abnormalities & investigating
the carotids, peripheral vessels, abdominal & renal vessels.
- Mammography: It is a screening technique that uses X-ray
to detect breast cancer in women.
- Lithotripsy: a technique for smashing stones in the kidney
and ureters into small grains. It does not require surgery.
- DEXA Bone Densitometry: a technique that assists in diagnosing
Osteoporosis in patients by measuring the bone density.
- Holter Monitor: A tool of detecting irregular heart beat
by wearing a portable EKG recorder for 24 hrs.
- Stress Test: Measures the physical condition and function
of the heart by using exercise
-Cardiac Catheterization: two types of invasive procedures
are performed by specialized doctors.

Therapeutic
Procedures |
| Catheterization:
It is the insertion of a catheter through a blood vessel

of the heart and coronary arteries.
|
-
Angioplasty = balloon catheterization: to widen or dilate
the narrowing in the coronary arteries.
- Stent Implantation: The stent holds the blood vessel
open to improve the flow of blood in the coronary arteries.

| N.B:
Monla Hospital abides by international medical regulations
